Spray Paint, Acrylic, Oil on Linen. 140 x 100cm This work explores the expectations society places on childhood. Children often deal with immense pressures, the ugliness this creates is far from the innocent and idealised images that are used to depict this time of life. This work was collaged from personal photos, found images and drawings. These images are cut and layered to create a final piece that coalesces many elements. Questions are asked, and in this dream like state I still wonder whether there will ever be an answer.
