Since media can be manipulated, truth is an alternative fact. Our physical and virtual realities are becoming increasingly intertwined. Hyperreality is when what is real and what is fiction are seamlessly blended together creating no clear distinction between where one ends and the other begins. This project discuss about how humans are more and more dependent of the digital world and how is becoming harder to distinguish what is real and what is not real. I translate this concept playing with the idea of creating fake clothes inspired by ordinary wardrobe of 21 century, cardigan, shopping bags, sports t-shirt, jeans, mixing them with the actual real garment. To develop the textile I use felting technique to blend them together creating one single fabric with a fading effect, almost if something is quite wrong with the digital garment making them fade away. The purpose of this project is not to be against technology, it is to start a conversation of how digital is changing the way that we interpret the real world and how difficult is to be present without these devices.
