For the experimental process, I was inspired to knit around the hidden beauty and intense textures of tree bark and leaves. I wanted to use the bark imagery so I could play with depths and use lots of texture. When thinking of barks and trees people often think of just browns when in fact there are so many colors on just one tree such as ochres, deep reds, sages, and beiges.
