K-pop albums consist of various merchandise such as posters, photo cards, stickers, and many other items tailored to the artist’s identity and album concept. These items serve as valuable collectibles for fans and help build a sense of unity between artists and their fanbase. Drawing inspiration from the prevalent merchandise culture in K-pop albums, this project aimed to create a new edition of the album ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language’ by the British band, 1975. While preserving their unique identity and the original album concept, the new edition prioritised visual innovation to enhance fan enjoyment.
