The Cycle of Women's Fate in China

In the ancient feudal society of China, women's status was low, and they had no choice but to accept arranged marriages. Arranged marriages mean the bride and groom are primarily selected by individuals other than themselves. This is my initial inspiration. Then I noticed that If a woman gives birth to a girl, the girl's fate remains the same. This reminds me of the word cycle which is my concept. Mobius represents infinity and cycle, so it is one of the most important elements in my project. Through experiments, I found that the Mobius is a loop that binds the two ends of a piece of paper after twisting it 180 degrees. I do some experiments using 180-degree twisting and get some samples by applying these samples to generate new and different shapes and structures.
