Sculptures inspired by Cymatics. In these time-frozen-flash, preserving the rhythmic, serial, vibrational patterns etched into the slices of water.
The three-dimensional water ripples are transformed through photographs
into flat slices, which are then reconfigured from multiple slices of varying depth/detail into layered three-dimensional sculptures. Deconstruction and reorganisation is achieved spatially at the same point in time. The game of moving the position
of the cut-out patterns and light sources on the frosted semi- transparent acrylic panels, the overlapping and dislocation between the various layers, is also a fun part of the visual experimentation.
