The project aims to explore and document the kitchen as a performative space within the Chilean-Palestinian community. It focuses on how culinary practices create choreographies and instances of resistance, using the act of cooking and sharing meals as a means to preserve and celebrate cultural heritage and resilience.
Vine leaves wrap
A short animation that presents the art of folding vine leaves to make warak enab, one of the symbolic Palestinian dishes. It is also an act of repetition and patience, usually carried on by the women of the family who sit in a circle to cook them in community.
