I worked for a fast fashion brand for two years and was a big fan of fast fashion due to its innovative styles and low prices. But I never realised how harmful the fashion chain is for the climate until I started working on this project.
To illustrate this, I designed a Vogue-style poster in Photoshop featuring a mannequin adorned with colorful garments. The floor of the image juxtaposes a composite image of a fabric landfill, and the background depicts an abandoned textile factory. The central slogan, ‘Fashion or Pollution? ' Underscores the environmental impact and wastefulness of the fashion industry. It encourages reflection on the fact that over-consumption creates ‘beautiful waste’.
