My project is called "The Silent Steel", is an interactive installation designed to emphasise the urgent need for people to control factory production in order to prevent further environmental degradation. I was inspired by Edward Burtynsky's photography as well as Anicka's interactive installation. The installation is modelled on an old manual camera and allows the user to capture an image which displays a virtual picture of an abandoned factory. This interactive process is a metaphor for the hidden effects of industrial pollution. By connecting physical and digital space, the work provokes reflection on the role of industry in the climate crisis, urging viewers to reconsider their relationship with the environment.
