Natural Disasters #ClimateCrisis2024MaryThompson

I love drawing inspiration from nature because I believe that everything in nature has a soul. Whenever I'm surrounded by nature, I feel like I'm having a dialogue with it. With the frequency of natural disasters, it seems to be warning us about the effects of climate change. In my work, I have depicted the interaction between natural disasters and climate change by creating a garment and gloves. My main design point is the fabric. I chose gray and red colors and sewed the fabric into tubes to imitate the color and texture of volcanic lava. The silhouette imitates the shape of human bones. Through the combination of silhouette, color and texture, a feeling of volcanic lava eroding natural creatures is achieved. A terrifying atmosphere is created, alerting people to pay more attention to climate change.
