I was inspired by the hole in the ozone layer and ultraviolet radiation. My goal is to encourage people to keep up with reforestation efforts. Even though progress is slow right now, it is making a positive impact. And the reason I chose potato as a material is that it has a high yield and a lower greenhouse gas content. The discoloration of potato slices due to oxidation is like the skin spots that appear after exposure to intense UV radiation, and the range and shape of these spots are uncontrollable. To me, the ozone layer depletion represents the pattern of UV radiation passing through the atmosphere, while skin spots and skin cancer are the patterns left by UV radiation on the skin, which is also the origin of my project name.
