My work is called The Tempest. With the rapid development of human beings, natural resources have been rapidly consumed. Today, we are facing various climate crises, and people produce a lot of greenhouse gases in their activities, for example, the process of producing books itself emits more than 40 million tons of carbon dioxide globally. That led to a storm. The storm is not a small thing, but a very dangerous climate change
My work explores the damage caused by storms. My works are made of electronic posters instead of traditional paper posters, which can reduce the harm to trees and greenhouse gas emissions, improve the scope of dissemination, and make more people aware of this problem through online dissemination.
Influenced by Kenzie Parrott and Timur Zagirov, explore the changes produced by the combination of natural elements and letters and the treatment of mosaics. I used different software, such as ps, procreate, etc., to transform the elements of the storm into flat graphics, and processed the raindrops into two different styles of Mosaic patterns through another way. The overall color uses high saturation colors to attract the attention of the reader and make it easier for the reader to read the content on the electronic poster.
Therefore, I hope that my project can let more people know about this type of weather, so that more people can prevent this kind of situation and understand the harm of climate change. Storms can cause flooding, as well as risks to economic and personal safety.
