I'm an illustrator with a passion for creating handmade books. My work explores the intricate relationship between forest fires and humanity in the context of the climate crisis, inspired by a news photo of the 2022 Chongqing forest fire. The photo made me realize that many people are indifferent to nature because they lack a meaningful connection with it. To convey this idea, I created a double-sided tunnel book using traditional print media, depicting the forest before and after the fire.
My goal is simple: I want the forest to be seen. By bringing attention to the forest, I hope to inspire people to care for it. When people truly see and care for forests, there will be greater efforts to protect them from destruction.
