My artwork is a documentary which uses the Tanka People as an example to raise people’s awareness of environmental issues. My inspiration comes from a documentary called Under the Dome and the director uses her baby as an example to tell the audience how air pollution influences her baby’s health. Therefore, I think I can use Tanka People as an example to say to the audience how the climate crisis cause a bad effect on our society.
I always believe documentaries can change people's thinking and stimulate social dialogue. The real stories and emotions in the documentary often appeal to the audience's sympathy. This is why I chose a documentary as my project.
