Past and Future
My work combines ocean pollution with fashion. Influenced by Balmain's designer Olivier Rousteing, it directly demonstrates the dynamics and effects of ocean pollution. While working on this project, I was fascinated by the results of pollution and the passage of time. In my work, I borrowed from Rousteing's method to represent time and used a lot of plastic elements, because plastic pollution accounts for a large part of ocean pollution. I also reflected the results of ocean pollution through the sharp colors, through the obvious contrast. What I want to express through this work is that as time goes by, the pollution we create will eventually come to us in the form of disaster.
