Acid Rain

My work is a response to global climate crisis that the potential harmfulness of acid rain might become apparent. It is a poster that responds to the environment and overtime reveals a core message.
My artistic journey started with the experience of living in southern China, an area that has experienced rapid economic progress, where it rains all the year round. I was also influenced by the Germany artist Joseph Beuys.
The principle I have used is that the corroded copper foil on the poster symbolized the hazards of acid rain. As the acid rain reacts with the copper surface it reveals two words – “ACID RAIN”. The goal of my project is to alert people to the slow but insidious danger acid rain poses.
