For this project I chose to study future living. At the exhibition we visited as a class I chose to study a piece called the “glass microbiology” by Luke Jerram. which was a set of three cell structures this really inspired me, so I used this as my starting point and decided to study cells further. I used different techniques of hand embroidery, machine work and even dying fabrics too. But I wanted to progress my ideas about future living further and study robots and the very fast developing technology we already have but is still quickly growing. So, to help start this off I looked at 2 different designers Paco Rabbane and Schiaparelli. Whose collection from spring 2024 was completely on theme for what I wanted to study. A lot of my inspiration for later in the project came from mother boards I was really inspired by their colour pallet, the metallic greens, silvers and all the tiny details in them which I wanted to show in my final sample range. To do this I used lots of different metallic fabrics and a range of beads and sequins.
