Experimental Process
Inspired by Jason Wilsher-Mills’ work, I reflected on a future where technology and illness intertwine, recalling my childhood experience with Alice in Wonderland Syndrome (AWS). This project explores the fusion of futuristic pathology and the fantasy of Alice's world. I researched cyberpunk culture for its symbolic color palette and studied artists like Dalà and Yayoi Kusama, both influenced by AWS. I also examined key motifs like mushrooms, polka dots from the Alice story, and Scottish tartan. Using the distorted perception from AWS, I created imaginative, tech-inspired patterns. Various printing techniques such as puff and foil printing were explored to bring these designs to life.
