This is a project about me personally, exploring feminism and self-expression. Like Wolf said,I‘m rooted but I flow.
I went to an exhibition about childhood, and I thought about my childhood, and I started from my childhood drawings, and I saw the characters that I created, and I gave them different characteristics and personalities with my hair and clothes, and I looked for my identity composition in these memories. I find that I mostly like women with a unique style. I found Yang Liping as my Muse, and I think he's the woman I wanted to be when I was a kid.
I combined floral patterns and lace patterns from my childhood photos and living environment, as well as bird patterns from the characteristics of women that I yearn for. Moreover, I found my obsession with hairstyles, and I combined wigs with fabrics.
