The Wilting Point
‘The Wilting Point’ is an animated short film about a life lived in passiveness and feeling alienated within a community. It explores the surreal event of someone melting as soon as they leave their neighbourhood. This person, so not used to exploring the outside world, became an object whose life and essence are relegated to the surrounding environment. The protagonist, after witnessing the melting, feels strangely unaffected by it and experiences a melting of his own. This is an animation entirely made using the paper collage technique, which helped create a non-overly-polished atmosphere, consequently contributing to the surrealism of the story.
