Fragility

Fragility is a menswear collection that investigates the tension between structure and vulnerability through the lens of contemporary Chinese masculinity. Drawing inspiration from the quiet beauty of celadon ceramics and military garments, the collection reimagines tailoring as a language of restraint and emotional depth. Craft techniques such as hand embroidery, asymmetrical cutting, and layering with translucent organza echo the crackled glaze and fragility of porcelain. Each garment is constructed to suggest both precision and delicacy—reinforcing the idea that masculinity can carry softness without losing dignity. The narrative is anchored by a client archetype inspired by actor John Lone (Zun Long), whose presence embodies a poetic, introspective masculinity—graceful, composed, yet emotionally resonant. Through this character, Fragility becomes a study of inner strength and refined vulnerability, proposing a nuanced vision of male elegance shaped by culture, memory, and craft.
