Merged Landscapes

My collection, “Merged Landscapes,” explores the intersection between nature and city life. Growing up surrounded by nature - living near the countryside in Nottingham and along the coast in Izmir when i was younger - I’ve always felt a deep connection to the natural world. This relationship has shaped my perspective and creative direction. In this collection, I wanted to reflect on how nature can exist within and adapt to urban spaces. Camouflage, in its broader sense, became a central theme- not just as concealment, but as a strategy for blending contrasting environments. Much like crypsis in nature, where organisms adapt to their surroundings to survive, this concept allows natural elements to seamlessly integrate into the urban landscape, forming new patterns, textures, and narratives within the cityscape.
