his project began with a simple doodle—I drew a stick of butter smoking a cigarette. At first, it was just a funny image that popped into my head, and I felt compelled to visualize it. But as I sat with it, I became interested in what kind of story I could tell through the combination of food and cigarettes. What started as a spontaneous drawing gradually evolved into an exploration of capitalism and exploitation, using food and smoking as visual metaphors.
