Shrine

In the past, we interpreted the world through mysticism and alchemy; now we turn to science and technology. Shrine draws from the concept of ‘futuristic occultism’ to question our dependence on technology and how it shapes what we perceive as visible. The installation takes the form of a shrine, a symbol of collective belief. Rotating prisms and discs represent the objective reality that is in constant movement, while the laser beams embody our shifting cognition. As the light enters and refracts through the prisms, it produces fragmented truths, like how visibility in our world is filtered by ideology and cultural constructs. Through the language of light and movement. The work as a visual metaphor for selective perception. Inviting viewer to re-examine the nature of seeing and to reflect on how belief systems, both ancient and modern.
