A Foreign Thought.

This project highlights the life of individuals with diverse backgrounds. I created imagery and incorporated text from conversations with the subjects to trigger a sense of relatability amongst people who reside far from their motherland, home, and roots. The items and clothes seen in the images are pieces from the subjects' past home and life. This project exists as an artistic statement that hopefully transmits empathy as it is viewed. By excluding a detailed depiction of the subjects' faces, I encourage the audience to insert themselves into the artwork and base their interpretation on their personal experiences.
