COCOON LOOP

COCOON LOOP is a localized circular knitting system that transforms irregular tussah silk yarn into custom tubular textile structures. The project combines a small-scale knitting machine, a yarn feeding and tension-control mechanism, and a parameter-based sample library. Instead of designing one fixed product, I developed a production system that works with natural material variation through human judgement and machine adjustment. The system supports designers, studios and material researchers in exploring small-batch textile samples for applications across object, body, furniture and spatial scales.
