The first clip surrounds the fear of intimacy, in this scene I was inspired particularly by David Lynch’s ‘Red Room’ scene in Twin Peaks. The actresses hair and makeup (Becky Kember) was inspired by German expressionism. The second scene was originally titled ‘the fear of food’ however after filming I found that the fear of going insane suited the scene better as when you lose touch with reality the norm may be confused with a surreal world which is much more darker and violent.
