London College of Fashion
BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Development
Hello, my name is Suhvin Son, and I am a Fashion Design and Development graduate from the University of the Arts London. From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. I spent much of my childhood making clothes for dolls, drawing, and expressing my imagination through creative activities. These experiences naturally led me towards a career in fashion. My work often begins with my own experiences and memories. I believe there is no story I can tell more honestly than the one I have personally lived and felt. As a result, my practice is rooted in childhood memories, emotional experiences, and the moments that have shaped who I am today.I am particularly interested in the relationship between memory, identity, and emotion, exploring these themes through silhouette, volume, colour, and materiality. For me, fashion is not simply about creating garments; it is a language through which memories, emotions, and personal narratives can be communicated. After many years of working towards my childhood dream of becoming a fashion designer, I am now taking my first steps into the industry. Moving forward, I hope to continue creating work that reflects my perspective and experiences while connecting with others through storytelling and emotion.
