I am Zifei Ma, a BA (Hons) Costume for Performance student at London College of Fashion. My work often begins with emotion, memory and the body, exploring how costume can support performance beyond visual appearance.I am interested in soft structures, movement, character and human connection. Through pattern cutting, draping, fitting, hand sewing and image-making, I use costume as a way to understand how people feel, move and protect themselves within a space. I am also continuing this interest through my upcoming study in MSc Psychology of Fashion at London College of Fashion.
