Being trans is hard. As I am write the government (UK) is planning to repeal the gender recognition act. A huge step back for the trans community and the LGBT QIA+ community as a whole. This project focuses on many of the arguments used to critisise the community like 'but trans people didnt exist 50 years ago' or 'why can trans people be so aggressive?'. Questions I myself have had to answer a seemingly infinite times. Combining stark reality and historical fact, very a very personal and emotional story and profound photography this project aims to make people think about how the transgender community is treated.
