silence

in Dutch
‘stilte’: a quiet space of silence and deep listening
‘zwijgen’: the power to be silent

We communicate remotely across borders, places, and cultures. Communicating with beings with no common ground in one culture or one language challenges us to listen more deeply and to find different ways of communication.

We inspire us through intercultural encounters. This collaborative work is made possible through dialogues, shared experiences, and an open space of trust and empathy.

The Singing Bowl:
Tibetan singing bowl meditation can reduce feelings of tension, anxiety, and depression. In a world of polarizing debate, engaging with singing bowl meditation can be useful to increase spiritual well-being.

I am grateful for my remote collaborators:
- The singing bowl (bell) from a Buddhist monk in Japan for connecting us
- Phương Anh (PA) for letting the bell sing
- The drawing pen for communicating my engagement with the language of the bell
- Angela McIntosh for her inspiration of co-regulated spaces
- Aaron McPeake for his teaching on ‘blind’ conversations
