Are we humans ready to receive care from the natural sentient world in a time of crisis?
My submission presents a practice of affective and reciprocal care in the space of a sentient river. It encourages an alternative relational framing to an anthropocentric sense of entitlement to the river as a resource for exploitation. The sense of human interdependence explores mutuality and connectedness through deep listening, affective attunement, and unconditional empathy for the river.
