FMP: Under the counter salvation

When I embarked on this project, my plan was to use the topic of exorcism to get rid of my creative fears and confront my family's religious beliefs. Though, as my research progressed, I discovered a disturbing world where people in dire need of mental health support fall victim to self-acclaimed, money-driven healers. Physical, mental and financial abuses are rife among the world of exorcisms. Soul salvation is sold, at shocking price, through a cunning blend of mysticism and showmanship. To address the alarming mushrooming demand for exorcism and the money making machine that it generates, I imagined myself as an exorcist, leader of brand of artisan goods and practices aimed at driving out the devil and other spiritual entities.
